Swedish Platter

Today I made platter (mini Swedish pancakes). These are very simple to make. All you need is milk, flour and egg. Most of the recipes we found on the internet had other ingredients like cream, butter and baking powder. But my Papa is from Sweden and this is his recipe. It doesn't get more authentic than that!

1 dl flour
2 dl milk
Mix then add
1 egg, beaten

Then pour into platter pan (like the one above) that has melted butter on it. Easy! But they do take a while. You need to be patient. And hopefully you aren't starving before you make them.
If you want to make more, you just double the recipe. Or triple, if you are really hungry.

TaDa!

I like to eat mine with sugar or nutella. But you can use jelly or anything really. You can even stack them and make a mini layer cake with nutella in between. Yummy.

Pancake Cake

I love to bake. I love to try new things. For instance, this morning, instead of having regular pancakes, I made a pancake CAKE!

I mixed up pancake batter and poured it into a round cake pan and baked it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, until a toothpick got put into the center and came out clean.

After I took the pancake cake out of the oven  I made a chocolate ganache sauce and poured it over the top. To make the ganache all I did was heat heavy cream in the microwave and then mixed in dark chocolate chips. and they melted with the hot cream.

then after that my mom,my step dad, my sisters, and me sat down at the table and ate the wonderfully cooked pancake cake.

It was GREAT !
